Your details

Your confirmation statement is due 14 days after your incorporation anniversary (or last statement date, if later). Your VAT quarter-end month only needs to match your year-end if your VAT stagger actually does, set it separately if not.

-Self Assessment, 31 January
-Next VAT return due
-Accounts due at Companies House
-Corporation Tax payment due
-Confirmation statement due

How it works

Self Assessment tax is always due by 31 January following the tax year. VAT returns are due one month and seven days after the end of each quarterly period, set your actual VAT quarter-end month above if it differs from your company year-end. Company accounts are due at Companies House nine months after your year-end, and Corporation Tax must be paid one day earlier than that, nine months and one day after year-end. Your confirmation statement is due 14 days after your incorporation anniversary (or the anniversary of your last confirmation statement, if you've filed one since incorporating), calculated here from the incorporation date you enter above. Keeping on top of all five dates is exactly what our limited company accounts service is designed to do for you.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Corporation Tax due before the accounts filing deadline?

HMRC requires payment nine months and one day after your year-end, one day earlier than the nine-month Companies House filing deadline for your accounts, which often catches new directors out.

Does the VAT date assume my quarters match my year-end?

No, set your actual VAT quarter-end month using the separate VAT quarter-end selector above, it does not need to match your company year-end.

Is the confirmation statement date always the same as my year-end?

No, it's based on your incorporation anniversary (or your last confirmation statement date, if later). Enter your incorporation date above and this dashboard calculates the real due date, 14 days after that anniversary.

What happens if I miss one of these deadlines?

Penalties vary by deadline. See our late filing penalty calculator for Self Assessment and Companies House penalty figures, or our late accounts rescue service if you're already behind.
