Do I need to tell my current accountant before I switch to Claritax?
Almost never. Professional clearance is a routine courtesy process between firms, and accountants deal with it all the time. You do not need to speak to them at all if you would rather not.
Is there a bad time of year to switch?
No. We manage handovers around live deadlines, including mid-VAT-quarter and close to year-end. The sooner you move, the sooner the deadlines stop being your problem.
What does switching cost?
Nothing. Onboarding, clearance and HMRC registration are free. You simply start your fixed monthly plan when we take over.
What if I am locked into a contract with my accountant?
Check your engagement letter for notice terms. Most are 30 days or less. We can start the handover so everything is ready the day your notice ends.
